I am a Consultant Chartered Legal Executive and an Accreddited Member of Lifetime Lawyers based in York. Over the past two decades I have dedicated myself to assisting families with their personal legal affairs, a role I regard as both a privilege and an immense responsibility.

In my practice, I specialise in the following areas:
* Creating Wills - as well as creating the Will which fully reflects your wishes, this includes reviewing the estate and the impact of your legacy after death
* Powers of Attorney - creating and registering all types of Powers of Attorney, including for business owners
*Estate planning to preserve assets for family, friends, charities, mitigating Inheritance Tax implications, preparing for social care costs
* Trusts - created by Will, through lifetime planning, personal injury award, property protection or beneficial ownership, vulnerable beneficiary protection
*Court of Protection applications - Deputyship appointments where a person is lacking capacity and acting for vulnerable clients
*Probate and Estate Administration - finalising the deceased's person's affairs, probate applications with or without a Will, interpreting Rules of Intestacy
*Varying the terms of a Will or Intestacy after death to redirect assets to other beneficiaries or to take advantage of trusts or to mitigate the tax implications

Each of these areas requires a nuanced understanding of legal intricacies and a compassionate approach to client care. We all require a helping hand and guidance at different stages in our life, whether that is because we need to choose the right guardians for our children within a Will or having to manage the affairs of a loved one, and getting the right advice is crucial.
